L-3000 VS L-3000POWER

What's the difference between the L3000 and L3000Power?
28 June, 2021

These two models of flashlights share most of the features: dimensions, weight, ATEX certification, plastic composition, autonomy, and even share the charger.

So, where is the difference? Their optics are completely different.

The optics of the L3000 have 2 high intensity LEDs, compared to the 3 LEDs of the Power version. If we compare the data sheets of both models, the first thing that strikes us is the difference in intensity. As the name suggests, the L3000Power is more powerful but, beyond the light intensity, the real difference is in the design of the optics. The design of these makes the light distribution completely different.

On one hand, the optics of the L3000, called LEDEngine, consists of 1 LED that sends the light directly to the ground (Step Lighting System) while providing a diffuse, wide-aperture (Flood) light beam. Besides, it has 1 LED that projects a concentrated, more penetrating light beam (Spot). The flashlight software allows us to select at any time which LED to turn on (one, another or both at once).

On the other hand, the optics of the L3000Power, called LEDEnginePower, consists of 1 main LED with a concentrated high penetration (Spot) light beam. Likewise, 2 LEDs located on both sides send the light directly to the ground (Step Lighting System). As with the L3000, the software allows you to select the combination of LEDs to use.

In short, both flashlights project light differently, being the L3000 more suitable for confined spaces and the L3000Power for open spaces.
